Cancer Focus Northern Ireland is facing a crisis unlike any other we’ve known before because of COVID-19.
Our offices and retail stores have closed and our fundraising events have been cancelled. As we’re 90% dependent on fundraising, this means that income for the charity has reduced to critically low levels. We’re looking at an 80% loss of income over the next six months.
Cancer and its effects don’t stop.
This hasn’t changed. And in fact, COVID-19 is creating more issues for cancer patients: treatments have been delayed, cancer screening services paused and diagnostic clinics cancelled. Not to mention the anxiety, stress and loneliness that patients and their families might feel right now.
Every year we support 6,000 local people affected by cancer. We need to be there for them. Our community. We need your support now more than ever to save our services so we can continue to help people affected by cancer in the future, just like Helen.
