Why not combine the benefits of exercise with fundraising for a great cause?
Take part in one of our virtual challenge events to keep you on your toes (literally) 🏃🏃♀️
Here are some ideas for you to consider or you can do your own thing – it’s totally up to you!
Bored of lockdown and fancy a new challenge? Why not step up and take part in our Virtual Slieve Donard Challenge! All you have to do is walk up enough stairs to reach the equivalent height of the summit (360 flights / 5390 steps). You can cover the distance by going up the stairs, on and off a single step, or even by tracking steps up and down your garden or driveway.
Do the #StepUpToSlieveDonard challenge in one day, over a weekend or over a number of weeks – whatever suits you!
Got a static or road bike and fancy a new challenge? Gear up and take part in our Virtual Malin to Mizen Mileage Challenge. Our challenge is simple: cycle 380 miles (from the most northerly to the most southerly point of Ireland). It’s not a race so you can do this over numerous days or weeks.
Cycle on the road, in the country or on a static bike. Nominate your friends to get involved too – we promise it will be wheelie fun!
Fancy a challenge with a four legged twist? Well we have the ‘pawfect’ challenge for you!
Why not take on our Mutt Marathon with your beloved dog and walk the same distance of a marathon (26.2miles) over the course of a few days or weeks – your marathon, your way. There is no registration fee, but fundraising is encouraged.
This challenge is exactly what it says on the tin. How many burpees, star jumps, push ups or squats can you do in a minute. Simply pick your exercise and see how many reps you can squeeze into 1 minute. Get a housemate to time you and video you for proof! 📹If you’re not happy with your number, set yourself a challenge to improve it over the coming weeks.
Feeling like some friendly competition? Why not nominate your friends and family to see if they can beat your score!
Why not take on the Run 5km Challenge for us? Simply pick your route, run your 5km, donate £5 and nominate 5 friends to grab their trainers and take on this running challenge!
Take a selfie and tag your 5 friends on your social media channels. The more people we get to take part the more money we can raise to help us continue to support local people living with a cancer diagnosis here in Northern Ireland.
**Please follow government guidelines including social distancing while taking part in your fundraising event for us**
