Many families and friends now request donations to Cancer Focus Northern Ireland in lieu of funeral flowers.
It doesn’t mean that there won’t be any flowers at the funeral, just that floral tributes will be limited to immediate family and others are invited to make a donation to Cancer Focus Northern Ireland.
Most funeral directors are willing to collect donations in lieu of flowers, handling the administration of these gifts for you and making sure they are passed to Cancer Focus NI.
So rather than buying funeral flowers as a tribute, why not consider making a donation to Cancer Focus NI instead?
Donations in lieu of flowers
People often choose to make a donation to charity in lieu of sending flowers when they lose someone close to them. It allows family, friends and colleagues to honour the life of a loved one while making a real difference to the lives of others. Much of the vital work we do in Northern Ireland is only possible because of donations received in lieu.
